About Me
Hi! My name is Mohamed Islam (He/Him) I am the founder of Ataraxis Psychotherapy. As your therapist I offer a safe space to explore and confront the difficult things we experience in life.

A bit about me: I completed a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Psychology at Carleton University, where I decided to pursue a career in therapy. I then went on to finish my Masters of Psychotherapy and Spirituality from Saint Paul University, where I was trained to work with clients coping with a variety of different mental health issues.
I am trained as a psychodynamic therapist so I focus on creating a safe space and working with what you bring into session. I also utilize a variety of different techniques from theories such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I foster strong therapeutic relationships with my clients based on mutual trust, open communication, unconditional acceptance, and collaboration.

I offer psychotherapy in both English and Arabic.
